Yum yum YUM! So I'm on my Dirty South 2010 tour, and I've been SUPER craving the perfect mashed potatos and fried okra, alongside some other country veggies... and oh my god, this place hit it spot ON. Wow. I couldnt eat enough it was so good, and affordable too. They beat my grandmama's cooking, and that's saying a LOT...I might have to go back tomorrow...good grief that was good. Mmmm. Get the fried okra and the mashed potatoes if ya dont get anything else, I could have eaten that all day. PS- this is not a 5 star FANCY restaurant, its just your good old, down home mama's cooking type place and is being rated as such. Yum. The veggies were awesome, anyway, I dont know about the meat selection. I think that definitely means I should go back tomorrow...

Olde Orchard is a great place to eat. Family owned and operated it hard to beat their homemade tasting food and daily specials and always friendly staff. If you are ever in the area and a firm believer in supporting local businesses show your support by trying Olde Orchard today. You will be glad you did!

I ordered the special of the day, which consisted of: pot roast, "new" potatoes, carrots, and Texas toast. My beverage was sweet tea with lemon. FOOD: The food was just okay. The carrots were tasteless. COST: My bill was $12.00 before tip, which is WAY too expensive for a meat and two meal. Sanitation rating? 97.0. The restaurant looked clean. I had to keep swatting away a fly which was competing with me for my lunch. This was a nuisance. Service? There are good, professional, waitresses working here - unfortunately my server was not one of them. One could also SMELL her from ten feet away.....gross. To the reviewer who commented that this wasn't a "destination restaurant - that, my friend, is an understatement. Overall, the restaurant is about a three star experience, but I felt that their pricing was inordinately high for a meat and two diner, so I deducted another star. I have no intentions of returning, because there are just so many Triad restaurants that do a better job and their prices are not so expensive. Heck, for the same amount of money I could have had lunch at Thai Sawatdee, Bad Daddy's, or Bib's Downtown.

First time trying breakfast here, and it is nice here. The Lil Bushel plate was 2 eggs, 2 pieces of breakfast meat, and 2 pancakes for $4.49 - all nice, and a lot of food. Also sampled the Home Fries (good), their Biscuits and gravy (they offer both a sausage gravy and a mulk gravy) also very good - the milk gravy is the best choice. Requested eggs soft scrambled, and they were cooked perfectly. Service is always quick and friendly, prices are very reasonable.

I ordered my food to go. I wasn't greeted nor asked to be helped. The lady was very rude and when I asked for a soda she gives a rude shrug and motioned for the soda machine, instead of just informing me on which soda products they carried. I got a gravy biscuit, hash rounds, and of course soda and it was $8.08! VERY OVERPRICED. This place is also swamped with "GOD/JESUS/AMEN" everything. Also wasn't thanked when I left. Don't come here!!!

Definitely not a destination diner. The food is not bad, but also not great. It is good country food and plenty of it. I tried one of the dinner specials, hamburger steak with gravy. It was a bit on the heavy side with lots of frozen ingredients, so don't expect fresh country cooking. Based upon the other meals I saw coming out of the kitchen, maybe The Olde Orchard is better known for its burgers and hotdogs. Went here on a Friday night and there were lots of people there with real nice vintage cars and 50's - 60's era music being played over loud speakers in the parking lot. This certainly matched the restaurant's ambiance which is clearly retro diner. Would I go back...yes if I were in the area I might try their sandwiches but I would not drive into town just to eat at the Olde Orchard.
